PROJECT SUMMARY
While researching experiential and adaptive learning, I discovered the power of gamification. I developed a course using a course leader board which allowed me to differentiate assignments and increase student motivation. Students achieved levels in the course which unlocked additional assignments. The key to assignment differentiation was to let students select from the assignments that assessed the same skills that were taught. As a result, student feedback for the course was the highest it has ever been.
The course was created using Articulate Storyline and Presenter. The moving image was created using Adobe Photoshop.
PROJECT SUMMARY
Worked closely with recycling managers throughout Oregon to develop an 8 module Recycling 101 Canvas course used to reduce waste in Oregon. Designed the course to engage students in becoming part of the solution. Important aspects in the course also included formative assessment and interactives to engage the students, meaningful visual design, and summative assessment which results in a badge for students.
