PROJECT SUMMARY
Adapted classroom and online content into interactive tutorials. Designed slideshow, developed script, recorded tutorials, and edited content into interactive formats. Introducing these tutorials to my composition courses turned passive viewing into active participation that provides immediate feedback to each student.
PROJECT SUMMARY
Courses in the MSEd program helped me to design some of the most fun and innovative learning experiences for my students. To encourage students to flex their digital muscles and steep themselves in the 19th century texts that we were reading in the online course, I developed a final portfolio project. This summative assessment introduced students to the Arc GIS software and also improved their geospatial skills.
PROJECT SUMMARY
Some students who are new to the online environment struggle with understanding how to approach the course, instructor, and peers. In order to help build a more interactive experience into the course, I designed a course welcome tutorial that seeks the preferences, the goals, and the competencies of each student in the course. I used interactive software to create a semi-adaptive tutorial to introduce students into the online course.
