PROJECT SUMMARY

Collaborated with a class of peers to identify and build tutorials for the open source community. Created a BadgesOS Tutorial to help educators in higher ed and K-12 learn how to gamify their curriculum using a WordPress site.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Collaborated with three team members from schools around the United States to compete in an instructional design “Test Kitchen” at the OLC Accelerate Conference. As a team we developed a wraparound solution to a self-paced learning issue. ExpeditionYou is a self-paced learning path which is built in WordPress and LearnDash. Assessments included a pre-assessment to help move the student to their correct learning path and a final post assessment. The solution resulted in our group competing in the finals at the national conference.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Developed an online tutorial for the ASUMH Library databases with the Director of the Norma Wood Library on campus. The video was developed at a distance using screencasting tools.

Badges were designed for each Saturday clinic.

Worked with the Western University of Health Sciences Students in Lebanon, Oregon to develop a badge system for the Healthcare Career Ladder series for youth.

A Year Later a few of the same presenters attended the conference the following year.

A year after the “Limitless Education: Is Open Source an Option?” presentation a few presenters from the same group attended the NW eLearn Conference in Pasco, Washington.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Co-developed a presentation on Open Source Software for the NW eLearn Conference held in Eugene Oregon. To prepare for the presentation we each decided to introduce pieces of OSS into our work. The presentation grew out of our experience with the software. The presentation was entitled Limitless Education: Is Open Source an Option?
